摘要：A gastrostomy device (11) comprising a delivery means such as a tube (13) fordelivering food, medicines and other fluids to a patient's stomach (30). The deliverymeans has a first portion (17) which is received in the patient, the first portion (17) havinga maximum cross section substantially equal to or smaller than the aperture in thepatient through which the first portion (17) enters and exits so that the delivery meanscan be removed from the patient with minimal injury thereto. Preferably the tube (13)enters the patient through a first aperture (31) in the patient, passes through thestomach (30) and exits the patient through a second aperture (29). The device alsocomprises a retaining means (19) to retain the tube (13) in a desired position.
