Weather we can conquer nature

Human beings are quite powerless when faced with big disasters. For example, the Sichuan earthquake. We couldn’t predict when it happened, and we couldn’t even rescue the victims timely. But we could still do a lot, we united as one and tried our best to save many lives. We worked more and more miracles which beyond over the limits of human beings. So have we conquered nature？ Of course, the answer is yes.
Human beings are the creatures who are full of wisdom. No matter what difficulties we meet, we can come over them with our efforts. In the ancient times, We already have built many great projects. For examples, Doujiang Weir of the warring states period was the channel which benefited the human beings. Fewer and fewer natural disasters such as flood and drought promoted the development of agriculture. And the grand canal from Beijing to Hangzhou made the transportation more convenient and this project promoted commercial development.
We never stop the march of creating and progress. With the development of technology, we create more and more useful tools to improve the quality of human life. The invention of aircraft which made people get rid of the gravity now become the fastest transport of the world. And the development of science helps people do many more. Weather forecast can help us avoid troubles and losses. What’s more we are able to artificial rainfall which does more help to agriculture. These great inventions change the process of civilization.
In a word, human beings can change the environment with the development of science
and
technology.
And
we
still
have
a
lot
to
do.
The developments of technologies need to be perfected ceaselessly.
Meanwhile there's still a limitation in human being himself. Maybe we will destroy nature when developing technologies. We should avoid these kinds of problems as well as break our limitation to make more creations and live in
harmony with the nature at the same time.
