Helping Those In Need Reading ( Period 1) 的教学设计 本课是沈阳版牛津英语八上第一单元的第一课时。本单元以“帮住有困难的人”为话题,以志愿服务为主线。主阅读篇章是由三位志愿者在假期参加志愿服务活动所撰写的汇报组成.本课的学习可以帮助学生对“志愿者”及“志愿服务活动”有一个初步了解,同时训练学生的阅读能力和技巧。本篇话题贯穿了整个单元教学,之后的听力,会话,写作和补充阅读都围绕这一话题展开。本课的设计立足于激发学生学习英语的热情,以培养学生学习英语的兴趣为出发点来组织教学。 “志愿者服务活动”这一话题对于学生来说十分的熟悉。他们对于“2008年北京奥运会”的志愿者和我们“沈阳十二届全运会”的志愿者的优质服务还记忆有新,很容易激发学生的学习兴趣。 我所任教的班级处在城乡接轨的农村中学,学生的英语基础非常的薄弱,因此在阅读中进行分层次要求,并对学生加以鼓励引导,帮主他们完成阅读任务。 在教学中,教师发挥“导”的作用——组织和引导学生。通过制作运用多媒体课件,创设教学情境来调动各层次学生积极主动参与到教学中,引导学生运用“自主学习-小组合作学习-相互评价”的学习模式。最终使学生通过对阅读材料的略读,找读,理解大意,词义猜测,主要细节,图标信息等一系列的策略来完成阅读任务 1. Step 3 While—reading 研究学习 (25 minutes) 1. Show the questions to the Ss Q1: What are the names of the teenagers? Q2: What did they offer to do during the school holiday? 2 Walk and help Ss 3. Show another group of questions Q1: Where did Betty do voluntary work? Q2: What is wrong with the Children there? Q3: What did Betty and other volunteers do for the children? 4. Present the table “Mark’s and Annie’s voluntary work【链接1】 1.Show 1.Read the title, introduction and writers’ names then answer the questions 1 Look the pictures, the writers’ names and the first sentences of each report on p3 then finish the exercise(Before you read) Ss read Betty’s report and answer the questions Read Mark’s and Annie’s reports then fill in the table 运用略读策略,了解主阅读篇章的大意 通过细读,了解篇章的细节信息。 Step 4 Post--reading 巩固提升 (7-8minutes) the picture to the Ss. T:I think everyone knows him very well because he was the man who was ready to help others In the past, we need Lei Feng, but nowadays do we still need Lei feng's spirit. Show their plans 通过讨论当下社会还需不需要雷锋这一话题,把课堂所学知识和实际生活紧密联系起来。让学生们感受到雷锋就在我们身边,并且要把雷锋精神继续传承下去,帮助别人,快乐自己。 4

Step 6 Homework (1minute) 机动时间 (2—3minutes) Assign an assignment 1 Write a summery 2 Write a volunteer activity plan by themselves 之前的任务完成所需时间较多。因此我将最后一个环节设计一个志愿者活动计划 作为作业,将课堂活动延伸到课外 板书设计 Helping those in need Mark Annie Betty Life is journey Love make it more beautiful We are all Volunteers 教学反思 本节课通过在互联网上找到的视频,图片,图标以及讨论时下的热点人物(郝建)来导入课文,从一开始就抓住了学生的学习热情,然后借助讨论和头脑风暴等活动进一步激发了学生对本节课的求知欲。整节课中一直引导学生运用“自主学习—主动思考—乐于合作”的学习模式。脉络清晰,层层递进,在轻松的课堂氛围中学到了知识,最后通过对雷锋精神的讨论,得出结论(To help others is to help oneself.) 在本课的学习中,阅读问题设置较多,没能够给学生充分的时间更好的去展示自己,一些学生因没有得到机会表达自己而感到遗憾。今后会在任务和时间分配多多注意。 Mark’s voluntary work Annie’s voluntary work 【链接1】 Mark’s and Annie’s voluntary work What is wrong with the children there?
