A lesson plan of 7A Unit 4 Grammar (Ⅰ)
I. The teaching aims Knowledge aims:
To recognize and learn how to use adverbs of frequency: always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, never. Ability aims:
To improve the Ss' ability of using adverbs of frequency correctly to express their thoughts; Emotional aims:
To arouse students’ interest in the topic of the unit :Food. II. The teaching difficult and key points: How to use the adverbs of frequency; III. Teaching procedures Step 1 Checking the preview
1.Group students into some teams and discuss the preview
2.While discussing, the teacher should find the difficult places which are ready to talk with the students.
Step 2 Revision
Ask some students to say something about his/her diet or lifestyle freely.
Step 3 Presentation
1.Ask the students how often they chat online/play computer games/cards/go back to their hometown/grandmother’s home… 2.Choose some sentences like:
Lily doesn’t chat online. (Teach never)
Tom goes to the park once a week. (Teach seldom) Jack watches TV at the weekends. (Teach sometimes) Daniel plays basketball every day. (Teach often)
Lucy comes to school on foot except Saturday. (Teach usually) Zhou Jie rides back home every week. (Teach always)
3.Draw the following pictures for the students to understand the adverbs.
